One Year Pictures

We finally got Maya's 1 year pictures back and I was so excited, I think they turned out super cute. We had a lady do them she just had a studio at her house and I think she did an amazing job! Maya has grown so much in the last month I can't believe it. She loves to dance and she definitely has an attitude. If she is naughty and we tell her no she shakes her finger at us. We decided we are going to be the worst parents because whenever we are trying to discipline her she is just so cute and we either smile or laugh, I have a feeling this little girl is going to get away with a lot :) We love her so much and are so glad she is in our family! Maya is 1!!

I can't believe it's been a year since my beautiful baby girl came to this earth. She is the most beautiful, funny, fun, happy baby girl. I can't imagine our lives without her. She makes me so happy. We took her in for her 12 month appointment on Tuesday and these are her stats...

She is perfect! It has been a rough winter for her she has been getting constant colds but luckily her cold went away right before her birthday. We had a very fun birthday party for her with our family. My parents were kind enough to let us do it at their house and me and my mom had so much fun planning and decorating. My brother Bryan is in town and we are so lucky that he could take a break from studying and come to Maya's party.

This is when we were bringing out her cake, she was SO tired and crying. I know I know the cake is so cute, I made it :) Just kidding it's not that cute, but pretty good for a first try.
The second that she got a taste of the frosting she could not get enough, she grabbed the cake and started licking it. It was SO funny and cute.

When we took the cake away she was on a total sugar high and was laughing and giggling like crazy. She didn't crash for like 3 more hours she was so happy and hyper it was so cute!

I tried wiping her off, but there was frosting EVERYWHERE. We decided to just stick her in the sink

I finally posted... and it's LONG :)

I suck at this blogging thing. I finally got around to putting my pictures on the computer so I thought I should update the blog. Here is what has been going on the last few months...

We took Maya to see santa, and she did so good! She didn't cry or smile, she just stared at him like "Who is this crazy man?"

We spent Christmas eve with Dario's family. It was so fun we ate tamales and tostadas and posole, DELICIOUS! We also had a gingerbread house making contest and it was so much fun! Dario did most of the work while I chased around the wee one. It turned out pretty good. We decided to not focus so much on presents this year and just enjoy the holiday stress free and focusing on the true meaning. It was the best!! I am so lucky to have such amazing in-laws!
We went to my parents late christmas eve so we could do the pajama tradition and sleep over. We woke up christmas morning and opened presents, my parents were WAY to good to us. We ate breakfast and took naps and just hung out and relaxed all day. It was so much fun I love to be with my family!

We got her this cute little baby doll stroller to help her walk (She couldn't walk then) and Ethan gave her the baby doll it was perfect!


She of course loved everything that wasn't a toy :) She loved playing in this box and loved the wrapping paper and tissue paper .

These are just a few random pictures. Maya is growing up so fast it is so crazy! I love her so much! She started walking at the end of December and it is so cute she is so tiny! At her last appointment she was 17lbs. She is so full of energy and life and makes us so happy! Her birthday is coming up and I can't believe she is going to be 1. It's crazy how fast time flies, especially when you have a child.

Cute Cousins

Maya is so lucky to have a cousin her same age! Paxton is my cousin Mindy's baby they are about a month apart. We like to get together every couple weeks so the babies can play together. It is so fun to watch the 2 of them grow up together!

Forever and Eternity

November 6, 2010 we were sealed together as a family in the Salt Lake temple. It was an amazing experience, one of the happiest days of my life. It was a beautiful day and we had many friends and family there to share our special day with us.

Where to start?...

I guess I will start with Maya, my beautiful baby girl! She is almost 10 months old I can't believe it!! It's crazy how much and how fast babies change! She was born February 7 and was 6 lbs 14 oz the most beautiful baby in the world!

She is now 91/2 months old and weighs 16 lbs 11 oz. She has grown 10 lbs in these few short months. She is now crawling and loves to pull herself up onto everything! She is so fast and is hard to keep up with. She is the happiest baby, she smiles and babbles and laughs so much and is the joy of our lives! I can't believe how much she has changed! I can't even remember what it was like when she was a newborn.

The Beginning
